It would be in your best interest to release it AT LEAST a couple days before the deadline so everyone will have the opportunity to see it and spread the word. Voting Will be done by the community registered here. Voting will be PUBLIC so everyone will be able to see who's in the lead in REAL TIME. This will all forms of cheating. If somebody is suspected of cheating, refer him to me.
This contest is really just a feeler to see how many people enjoy making videos. If this contest turns out successful then a bigger contest worth 2x the amount will be out in the coming months. ![]() Good luck guys ![]()

I'll be making something for this.
Sounds like a good contest ![]() although why divx, it's good to stream with a divx web player but other than that it's an outdated codec, especially for a CS movie (i prefer x264 or XVID) but it's your contest so it's your rules, gl to all participants |

also, does 4 rounds of voting seem excessive to anyone else? the video that receives the most votes after you've narrowed the entrants to 10 (round 2) could take the prize right then :P (or top 2/3 videos if you decide to expand the prize pot).

I know about many people that won't enter this competition because of the rule that says that you have to encode it in divx. I really hope that this rule can be changed, because divx don't give as good quality in cs movies as xvid and x264, and that will make it hard to get good quality movies in the competition.

Unless it's in 1080p at 50fps, Divx should be fine for roughly 15 minute videos. Surely Stage6 could host massive videos for you.
As long as it's under 8mbps, I think it would be streamable. |
